» Reciprocal links program user guide (LinkMan)

Please take the time to read the whole of this document, there is important information at the bottom with regards backing up your links.

The benefits of a reciprocal links scheme

Reciprocal linking is when someone adds your website link to their own website in return for having their link on your website - a link exchange.

Link Exchange (Reciprocal Link Exchange, Link Swap, Link Trade etc.) is the most affordable way to increase your website's link popularity and achieving best search engine ranking and hence increase your site traffic. Building link popularity through link exchange means to find partner sites with webmasters willing to add a link leading to your site, in exchange to a link leading to their website from yours.

Why you need Reciprocal Link Exchange?

Many search engines use 'link popularity' for ranking websites. It is the most important part of Google's ranking algorithm. The more links other sites have to your website, the higher your link popularity, and the higher your site will be listed in the search engines. It is therefore in everyone's advantage to exchange links.

About your reciprocal links manager program

Page one of your reciprocal links is managed by Build Me A Website. The number of links on page one will continue to grow for as long as you continue with BMAWS SEO annual subscription. The links on page one will increase to a maximum of 100, if SEO annual subscription is cancelled no further links will be added to page one.

Page two is managed by you the site owner. You have full admin rights to add and delete any links on page two, the maximum links on page two is 100.

If the number of links on page two reaches 100 and you wish to add further reciprocal links to your site a new page can be created. There will be a charge of £25 for each additional links page.

To view your links pages

At the bottom of your website there will be an hyperlink called ‘Links', this will take you to page one of your reciprocal links program. One that page you will find links to page 2, the ‘add your site' form and also a link back to the main site.

Reciprocal links program page 2 admin area

To access the admin are of page 2 you need to go to the page below (www.your-site-name.co.uk is replaced with your own site URL)

Page 2 admin - www.your-site-name.co.uk/links-2

You will need to use the password we sent to you in the ‘SEO Job Complete' email.

Once logged in you will see all the reciprocal links you have setup, at the side of each link will be a red cross, this is used to delete the link.

Below the links is the ‘Check Reciprocal Links' area. You need to know whether your link partners are linking back to you, they may have changed their website and removed your link without informing you.

Click the ‘Check Links' button to get details of the reciprocal links back to your site, if a link back is missing you will be informed.

Before clicking the ‘Check Links' button you can choose to delete the links that do not link back to you automatically, we suggest you do not do this as it would be best to contact the sites webmaster before you delete, they may have a temporary problem.

Backing up your reciprocal links

We recommend that you make a backup of the links on page 2 on a regular basis, i.e. every couple of weeks or once a month.

To do this go to www.your-site-name.co.uk/links-2/linkinfo.txt

Depending which program you are using access the internet the following may be slightly different. Go to File and select Save As and then save the text file to your computer.

In the unlikely event there is a problem with your website we will do our best to get it back online 100% but it is a good idea for you to keep a backup of the links just in case there is a problem we can not rectify.
